Your Safety on OmeChat

OmeChat is designed to be a friendly, private place for adults to connect. Safety is a shared responsibility — here is how to protect yourself and keep conversations respectful.

Stay in control of your conversations

You decide when a chat starts and ends. If a conversation makes you uncomfortable for any reason, leave it immediately — you never owe anyone an explanation.

Protect your personal information

Treat your privacy as something valuable. Keep your full name, home or work address, school, and daily routine to yourself until you genuinely trust someone — and even then, be cautious.

Do not share sensitive details

Never share financial information, passwords, ID documents, or anything that could be used to locate or impersonate you. No legitimate conversation requires these.

Leave a video chat anytime

Ending a chat is always one tap away. There is no penalty for leaving, and you can move on to a new conversation whenever you like.

Report suspicious behavior

If someone behaves inappropriately, use the report and block tools. You can also submit details on our Report Abuse page. Reports help keep the whole community safer.

Respect boundaries

Listen when someone says no, and never pressure anyone. Respect goes both ways and is the foundation of a good conversation.

Adults only

OmeChat is intended for adults aged 18 and older. If you believe someone is underage, stop the conversation and report it right away.

No illegal content

Illegal activity of any kind is strictly prohibited. This includes anything involving minors, threats, or content that breaks the law in your region.

No harassment

Harassment, hate speech, threats, and abuse are never acceptable. Be kind, and treat others the way you would want to be treated.

No recording or sharing without consent

Recording, screenshotting, or sharing a conversation without the other person’s clear consent is a serious violation of trust — and of our rules.

Trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, it probably is. Leaving a conversation is always the right choice when you feel unsure.
